Updating the Supervisor

This checklist is intended to mass update a new supervisor on the position screen of employees instead of updating each employee individually.


  1. Log into USPS.

  2. At the top bar, find Core, then in the dropdown click Position. This will take you to the employees position grid.

  3. On the position grid make sure to have at least the following columns, you can keep employee name and supervisor name if desired. To add these, click on the More button on the top right of the grid and make these selections.

    1. Employee Number

    2. Position #

    3. Supervisor Number

  1. On the Positions grid, filter the Supervisor Number column by the supervisor you are trying to replace/update. Enter =(supervisornumber)

  2. Once filtered, click on Report on the top right of the grid. A popup box will appear. You want the export format to be Excel-FieldNames. Then click Generate Report.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  1. Open this Excel file. Update the Supervisor Number column to the new one. Delete all other columns except for these. Save the worksheet to your computer.

    1. Employee Number

    2. Position #

    3. Supervisor Number

  2. In USPS, dropdown Utilities, and click on Mass Load.

  3. Next to USPS Load File, click Choose File and select the Excel file from your computer.

  4. Next to Importable Entities, choose Position.

  5. Click Load. You will see the results of the load next to Import Results on that same page. If no errors occur, you’ve successfully updated your supervisor.
